boomeroptions seminars offer an interesting, informative way to learn about the many aspects of aging and dealing with senior individuals and also provide significant insight towards successful interaction with an older population.
In 2007, 13% of the population in Canada, about 4.4 million people, were seniors – people aged 65 and over. By 2016, it is projected that 5.8 million, or 16.5% of the population, will be classified as seniors and by 2031, there will be a projected 9.2 million seniors representing about 23.4% of the total population in Canada.
This aging demographic provides many challenges, as well as many opportunities, for both business and individuals.
Our Corporate Training Workshops are designed specifically for organizations and businesspeople, such as Realtors, Financial Advisors and other service-oriented professionals. As clients age, it is important to ensure that professional and business relationships with them are based on an understanding and appreciation of the complex changes inherent in normal aging, as well as the cultural and historic influences that can impact on decision-making.
Alternately, we offer a series of General Interest Seminars, which are shorter in length, and provide insight into the many facets of aging. These sessions adapt well as Lunch ‘n’ Learns, but can be presented in any other context, and could be of interest to individuals who are part of an active living community, a church group, a senior’s centre, or any other group interested in learning more about this rapidly growing segment of our population.
